James 4:6
But He giveth more grace, wherefore He hath said, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.
1. To whom does God give grace to?
2. The Greek word for grace means gifts. Charis.
3. And who does God resist ?

Matthew 23:12
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
1How is Gods kingdom different from the world as we see in this scripture?

2 Chronicles 34:27
Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, I have even heard thee also saith the Lord.
1. When may the Lord hear us? What would be the condition of our heart ?

Colossians 3:12
Put on therefore, as elect of God, holy and beloved , bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness and longsuffering.
1.As Christians, that are holy and beloved how does God want us to be toward other Christians and the world?

Micah 6:8
He hath shown thee o man what is good and what the Lord required of you. To do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly before thy God.
1.What does God say is good?

Psalm 35:13
I humbled my soul with fasting.
1. What is one way that we can humble our soul?

Psalm 37:11

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
1. What shall we delight ourselves in as we are humble and meek before the Lord?
2. What shall we inherit as well?

It seems we make ourselves more reachable to the Lord as we humble ourselves. These scriptures say He can hear us if we have a tender and humble heart. He can exalt us , bless us with peace and cause us to inherit the land on top of all that. He says to love mercy and walk humbly before thy God, and that this is good.
This is a most excellent way to live and grants us more grace and favor with the Lord. He will hear our prayers quickly if we are not proud and self righteous. He tells us the best way to live here, and we will be sure to see His word is true.
True humility is saying what God says about us is true, it is agreeing fully with God. It is saying yes God, your word is true , I am a sinner, only righteous in your sight by the blood of Jesus. I was astray, but now I am a son and a daughter with covenant rights.
I want to agree with God quickly and not be full of my own ideas and self righteousness, don't you??
Now He can bless me , I have lined myself up with His word.
