This is a page for Newcomers to Christianity with suggestions, also. There are some tracts for you to know what to tell others too who you will be witnessing to & also visit my Focus on Salvation page. Having a Holy Bible of your own is a must or read it online starting with the New Testament.
First, I suggest you read the Gospel of John and than the book of Acts and then the other books in the New Testament…and read some Psalms and some Proverbs gradually. Psalms is soo comforting…and John is my favorite Gospel!
I suggest that when you read the Old Testament, do it gradually if desired…the Old Testament is contained in the New Testament … so there is no hurry to read it. You can easily get bogged down if you try to read a lot at a time there, and I find some books can be overwhelming to read or you won’t understand them mostly, like Jeremiah and Eziekiel and the shorter books…Deuteronomy is important and Isaiah after Chapter 40 is great and just the beginning of Isaiah to start like at Isaiah chapter 1:18-20, 7:14, & 9:6, and the first part of Genesis.
Take your time and don’t read your Bible just to see how much you can read. Stop and really take in what the Word of God is saying…and I suggest that you mark the scriptures that really speak to you, and you want to find them again easily. I even type out the scriptures I want to find quickly, sometimes.

You can use a crayon or colored pencil or circle the verse numbers with an ink pen. I also use papers and paper clips to find the verses quickly, also.
If you are born again, go out and tell people what you have found…don’t keep it to yourself! Share the Good News of Salvation, and the great Love of Jesus!
