When No One Else Will Help

"Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath." (John 5:2-9).

These Bible verses are very beautiful in that they show Christ's great healing power and compassion. Consider the condition of this man...he needs healing and yet no one helps him. Others always push ahead of him, and he misses the opportunity to be healed. Competition--selfishness--disobedience---these words seem to describe today's world as well! When others push ahead of us and cause us to miss an opportunity--Jesus Himself will supply the need!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2Corinthians 12:9)

When we are alone and needy, we can count on Jesus--not man-- to help us. He will do what it takes to bless you! We don't have to be #1 in the world--because God supplies the need!

Notice that Jesus is not troubled by the inconsideration of the other people at the pool. He doesn't rebuke their inconsideration, but rather goes straight to where the need is. Jesus overrides the circumstances! He will overcome every obstacle for you! We must not look to the world for the answers to our problems. We must only trust in Jesus! Right now, pray to Him--ask Him for your healing--surrender your problem to Jesus. He desires to heal you! Yes! It is God's greatest desire to see you made whole! He has overcome the world for you--pray to Jesus now!

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
