Jesus said He came for sinners, not those who are already righteous (self-righteous).
"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" [Mark 2:17] If you are already righteous--he didn't need to die on the cross!
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us......If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." [1John 1:8,10]
We are all sinners, but Jesus' victory on the cross can save us all! We aren't saved by our own righteousness, but by His!
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, KJV).
All you really need is Jesus in your heart!
